How it works

Three steps, all of them inside this tab. No server, no queue, no upload.

1

Your photo stays local

The image is read by your browser and drawn on a canvas. It never travels anywhere.

2

478 landmarks

A face-landmark model locates the outline of your face plus the eyes, nose and mouth.

3

Four proportions

Width at forehead, cheekbones and jaw against length, matched to six shape profiles.

Questions people ask

Is it free?

Yes. No account, no payment, no trial. The detector runs in your browser with an open model and there is nothing to subscribe to.

Is my photo stored or uploaded?

No. The file is read locally, drawn on a canvas and analysed in memory. Nothing is sent to a server, there is no database and no image is kept after you close the tab.

How accurate is it?

It measures the face outline and compares four proportions against six shape profiles. With a good front-facing photo it is a solid guide; with a tilted, dark or partly covered face it can miss. When two shapes are close, the result says so.

Is this medical or a beauty diagnosis?

No. Face shape is a styling category used by barbers, hairdressers and opticians. It says nothing about health, age or identity.

Which photo works best?

A recent photo facing the camera, neutral expression, hair away from the face, even lighting and no sunglasses. At least 512 px on the short side.
